Mount Pleasant is a hip, young, and family-oriented neighbourhood. It encompasses Main Street, which would be its most notable core street, up to East 16th to the south, Clark Street to the east, and the Strathcona area to the north (the False Creek Flats more specifically). It’s known for having a ‘modern hipster’ vibe, with a great restaurant and cafe scene, and various small shops. The neighbourhood off of Main Street is residential, with a high concentration of character homes (both new and old) which add a lot of charm to the area.
Very much a cool Mount Pleasant house! A 1910 character home that has been thoughtfully & architecturally redesigned to beautifully blend old and new. You’ll love the sunlight-filled, open main floor with warm fir floors, reclaimed wood accents, an open kitchen with a gas cook top and farmhouse sink, wood burning fireplace, and custom integrated closets for storage. The lower level is an fantastic: bright wide open space with a bedroom, full bath and “kitchenette” – perfect space for a teenager, guest accommodations, media room, home gym….so many options and a lot of available space to create an additional bedroom. Perfectly situated with a lovely little mature perennial garden, yard, and patio just two blocks from the shops and eateries of Main street.
